A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Jim Foley

Jim Foley

Hi, my name is Jim, and I have a new life in Christ and am recovering from fear, trust issues, and people pleasing . . . oh wait, wrong devo. A shout-out to my re:gen peeps. Today, my wife Dana and I celebrate 27 years of being married, raising a family, and sharing life with friends and family. We have two daughters (Sarah and Hannah) and two sons-in-law (Eli Burge and Tyler Earle).

Growing up in a military family, I traveled and saw the world. Although I lived in 14 houses, I had no place to call home—until I came to know the Lord.

Psalm 126

Restore Our Fortunes, O Lord

A Song of Ascents.

126:1 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us;
we are glad.

Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negeb!
Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him. (ESV)
