A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Bobby Senter

Bobby Senter

Journeyers! Bobby here. I grew up in San Diego and New Orleans, and I love all things outdoors. I'm super excited for fall, cooler weather, TCU football, and getting to worship God's creation in a field or stream without overheating. My dad was in the Navy and that provided many moves with new people, places, cultures, and experiences—including seven days in New Orleans during Katrina. God eventually brought me to Texas where He changed my eternity in 2014. Now I get to sing His praises to others through The Porch, Watermark’s young adult ministry. Shout out to the Events Team!

Psalm 149

Sing to the Lord a New Song

149:1 Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of the godly!
Let Israel be glad in his Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!
Let them praise his name with dancing,
making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!
For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with salvation.
Let the godly exult in glory;
let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats
and two-edged swords in their hands,
to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
to execute on them the judgment written!
This is honor for all his godly ones.
Praise the Lord! (ESV)

MEMORY VERSES

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
