A Journey Through the Psalms and Proverbs

Logan Petty

Logan Petty

My name is Logan Petty. I'm am number two in the birth order of four boys in my family. I play football and wrestle. I'm a member of Watermark's student ministry and am in a small group with some great guys. I also love to work with kids with disabilities because they have a special way of showing you what really matters in a person and have taught me a lot about myself.

WOUNDS OF A FRIEND

Print Print

Proverbs 27:1-6

27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring.
Let another praise you, and not your own mouth;
a stranger, and not your own lips.
A stone is heavy, and sand is weighty,
but a fool's provocation is heavier than both.
Wrath is cruel, anger is overwhelming,
but who can stand before jealousy?
Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
profuse are the kisses of an enemy. (ESV)

MEMORY VERSES

Proverbs 25:21-22

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat,
and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,
for you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you.
